Our Process

We understand that the moving process is stressful, and we try our best to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible. We are available for questions and advice at any point in the process, and we are happy to pass on our moving knowledge to our customers!

Estimates

An estimate typically takes place in person so we can assess the size and difficulty of your move, and discuss any specifics or concerns you may have. Other factors include how many items the customer has, if any of the items are oversized and/or extremely heavy, how long it will take to complete the job, and how many employees are needed. We will send you an estimate in writing, outlining all inclusions in the move. From the time the estimate is given to the day of the move, and even after the move, we are always available for any questions or concerns our customers may have.

Every job is unique, and therefore each job is quoted on an individual basis.

Assurance

We are a small family-run business and we take great pride in our work. I, the owner, am always on-site with every move. I am always available for questions.

Preparations

We will always “treat your belongings with care and respect,” as if they were our own. There are many ways in which we protect our customers’ belongings. Having the proper equipment, such as blankets, mattress/furniture covers, hand trucks, dollies, straps to secure items, etc., is important to protecting items. We also always have enough hands on deck to make sure heavy items are moved safely. In addition to protecting your items, we also want to protect your home (or business) by protecting doorways, stair railings, being overly cautious with walls, and wearing protective booties for your floors. We use our experience and knowledge to advise our customers of any tips for preparation of the move — check here for Our Moving Tips.

Details

We also try to give our customers a detailed layout and timeline of what the moving day will look like.

Payment

The majority of moving companies out there give you an estimate, and then tack on additional “fees” to the final bill. We are always very honest with our pricing upfront, and you will never end up with a surprise bill. We typically do not require payment until the completion of the job, unless there are extenuating circumstances in which a deposit is required.
